We stand with Kenya

Challenge

How might we convince skeptical Kenyans through social and digital channels, that the United States Government, through its actions and activities on the ground, is playing a positive and vital role in alleviating the hunger crisis in Kenya (and the Horn of Africa)?

Outcome

Created a campaign that positions Kenyans in the hero role is central to this campaign. We highlight USAID activities and financial commitments but these are always celebrated because they unlock the Kenyan dynamism that the critical moment requires

Client:
USAID
Location:
Kenya

The approach

Both authentic and aspirational, we emphasize the modern, high-achieving, and spirited Kenyan.  Rather than focus on the areas on need, our campaign will focus on the areas of SUCCESS.  Kenyans see their country as a REGIONAL LEADER in INNOVATION and ENTREPRENEURSHIP.  They want to see a Kenya solving its own problems, becoming independent, self reliant.

Reflects optimism and potential of the country in executions.

Portrays Kenya as a needed regional leader.

Portrays USAID as an ally who sees the potential of Kenyans and the importance of their success in the face of adversity.
